HOW WE SCOOP

  • A Scoop Away offer twice a week, once a week, and once every two week services. In addition, we offer a lawn deodorizer. There are products we can use on stained grass, as well as flea and tick treatments.  In the fall we offer a leaf cleaning and removal service.
  • We will service residential, commercial, local government, private, apartment common areas, condo common areas, playgrounds, public events.  A Scoop Away offers services for dogs, cats, geese, and other animals.

Disposal

  • We scoop large quantities of waste.  The waste will be placed in biodegradable bags and we will remove the waste from the premises and dispose of it according to DNREC and the Delaware Solid Waste Authority.  We will service with disposable gloves and booties that will be disposed of after service.  All tools are cleaned and disinfected after each use.  We will also remove any rubbish that may exist in yard.

Your Responsibilities

  • Please make yards and pens accessible.  Grass should be kept to a minimum to locate waste.  Aggressive dogs should be indoors on service days.  In the fall we ask that you rake the leaves for easy identification of feces.

Weather

  • A Scoop Away will service in rain or snow, however; if it is heavy rain or snow, service will be canceled until following day.  In extreme weather service will be postponed until following week.  You will be credited for missed week.

Frequently asked questions.

1.  Is there a contract?

Yes and no.  You will sign a contract for permission to be on your property.  This is for insurance purposes; and no.  There is no contract for the work performed.  Its a verbal agreement the customer may cancel at any time. We ask you give us one week notice to accommodate you.

2.  Access.

We are not allowed to climb or jump fences.  We ask that you please have gate unlocked on service day.  You may provide us with a key or combination to lock.  If new lock was installed that would prevent us from service, it may be necessary to charge for that service that could not be completed.

3.  Can my dog be in the yard?

Dogs are very territorial.  They sometimes do not want strangers in "their" yard. We get along with dogs, but there are cases when a dog will not let our workers in the yard.  We are a professional business there to handle a job.  There is a time to play and a time to work, we want to get the work done and expedite your service as fast as possible. We ask that you confine your dog on the day of service to help use expedite this.  We can call ahead to help with the process if necessary.
